Join me as we use doodling, journaling and mindfulness practices to explore the world of Van Gogh’s painted chairs.

Draw, Journal, Photograph

Explore the world of chairs in a way that goes beyond the physical form, tapping into the artistic, cultural, and personal narratives they hold.

Beginning with an intimate glimpse into the world of Van Gogh as well as his relationship with the artist Paul Gaughin, we will explore how Vincent’s painted chairs (and chairs historically) have inspired artists, artisans and people throughout time.

We’ll take a look at therapeutic “chair practices” across different mediums and what they have meant to various peoples around the world as well as how to incorporate these techniques into your everyday writing, drawing and mindfulness practice.

Expect fun and innovative techniques, captivating stories and fascinating themes designed to inform and inspire your own everyday artistic practice.

No drawing or writing experience is necessary! The focus will be on guided exercises and contemplative practices inspired by the world of Van Gogh, but all forms of creativity are welcomed.
