Join me as I explore the dot-making techniques of artists who make art for joy.

From the live event: May 4, 2024

Engage in creative dot-making

Learn how artists have used dots for self-care and healing.

Discover the therapeutic connection between dot-making and self-care, drawing inspiration from acclaimed artists like Yayoi Kusama, Damien Hirst, Ellsworth Kelly, Louise Bourgeois and Takashi Murakami. Learn how each one of these artists have harnessed the power of dots for emotional expression, well-being and joy.

We will engage in hands-on experiences with both known and unique dot techniques to help foster stress relief and self-expression. Making dots can be artful, meditative and fun while also informing your current art and/or journaling practice.

Expect fun and innovative techniques, captivating stories and fascinating themes designed to inform and inspire your own everyday artistic practice.

No drawing or writing experience is necessary! The focus will be on guided exercises and contemplative practices inspired by the world of Van Gogh, but all forms of creativity are welcomed.

I will guide you through a short mindfulness practices before we settle into a therapeutic dot-making session. We will focus on breathing and present moment awareness to create more ease and calm in the mind and body. No meditation or mindfulness experience is necessary.

These mindfulness practices are simple and accessible for everyone.
